Had a birthday dinner for my wife at the Mayberry Cafe. Our group was eleven people and that didn't deter the staff at all. Servers were friendly and professional. We started with cheese curds and fried biscuits with apple butter. Both were a big hit. We had a wide selection of dishes and they were all prepared as ordered and very tasty. Our tables order included the fried chicken, New York Strip steak, Italian Beef sandwich, pork tenderloin sandwich and chicken fried chicken. Also a wide selection of sides. Everyone was very complementary of the preparation and taste of the servings. The prices are very reasonable. The Mayberry Cafe is an excellent family restaurant.

Very good place for classic home cooking. Quaint old fashioned place and they play Andy Griffith on several very old tv's. Been here several times. This time the food took a lot longer to come out. While we were still waiting, a female hostess sat some folks at a nearby table. She was telling the about the special with awesome detail."dynamite pork chops covered with (something or other) "it's delicious " she said. "And the grilled Brussel sprouts drizzled with..she went on and on....now I am regretting ordering a burger. Our food came out warm. My wife's fried chicken was excellent and it came with homemade mashed potatoes with gravy along with a bowl of sliced cucumbers in a type of sweet vinegar type. It was great. My burger was good, nothing special but good. I did not care for the coleslaw. I am a creamy coleslaw guy and this was not it...I think I was probably Hangry. Still thiking about the dynamite pork chop special. I wish we were told about that.
Enjoyed a breaded chicken sandwich, fries and fried mushrooms today. Mushrooms were just βokβ but the sandwich was good. Service was excellent and drinks/food came out quickly. Prices are fair and you canβt beat the atmosphere!
Our family are all "Andy Griffeth" lovers, so taking my mom and my 3 kids to this place was a blast!! Good memories and a fantastic ambience...the food is great!.... the staff were so friendly and helpful.. so. much. fun!!!
If you leave here hungry itβs your own fault! The service was friendly and the food was delicious. I had a BLT and sweet potato fries. Really good bread, generous amount of bacon, and the sweet potato fries were great. My husband had the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans. Everything was fresh and the mashed potatoes are from scratch. Will definitely come back next time weβre in Danville!
Great little place. Service reminisce of days of old. I feel like I'm in the actual town of Mayberry. Waitress was top knotch. Food was like Grandma used to make. Pork Schnitzel was perfect. Mashed potatoes where ok. Peach cobbler was worth the trip.
After a tiny bit of a rough start getting our drinks and menus for ordering, DH and I had a fun experience here. Service was great and so was the food. We visited around 4 on a Saturday and it was not very busy at all. I had the country fried steak and DH had pork schnitzel. We both had mashed potatos and gravy, sides were cucumber salad and sweet potato fries. Unfortunately, we were too full for dessert, which I think they may be known for. The list of desserts sure looked good. We aren't this way often but would certainly stop again. A fun, friendly traditional type diner.
